We recycle cards in my family too, and they are rarely cards for the correct holiday. It’s fun for us! My daughter will likely call me today and wish me a Happy Father’s Day, since I have handled both jobs since she was about 3. I even taught her to throw a ball and to repair toilets and do gardening and all kinds of fun stuff. She does get testy now when I correct her grammar, so I am trying hard to get past that. I still think she got some jobs when she was younger because of her grammar and vocabulary, among her other skills. I know I helped her get her first medical field job – I suggested flatter shoes than heels – as she would be on her feet often in the job – and the interviewer even mentioned that she showed good judgement with her shoes. But my day will be spent with my therapy dog in the hospital for people who are in need today of a visit.
