I lived in the old growth redwoods near Mendocino for a while. There was a three-day wind storm that knocked down trees all over the county – no power for 3 – 7 days. I had some nervewracking nights. In the redwoods, it is so quiet, that when a redwood falls over a mile away, it sounds like it is coming down on your house. The community moved fast to clear things up to make the roads passable – no waiting around for the government to get to it.

Your lucky day, most times you need to pay to get trees planted in your backyard.
