I have fossilized concrete child handprints on the brickwork under the balcony. The tiny child is now a gray-headed guy with adult children. Sigh.

And then get paddled for pouring wet cement on the lawn. “SIGH!!”

Don’t let the cement solid on Rover’s feet!!

Rover is going all Hollywood on us!

I remember doing that in my youth! Fun times

We did that when we poured part of the patio a few years ago. The doggos were all over it. The cats, not so much.

Now Red’s turn. And in the distant future an archeologist will say: this proves that dogs and humans existed at the same time!

Nothing nicer than a boy and his dog, growing up together, sharing their lives together, shutting out the overly pessimistic, always complaining “adults” that want to invade their life.

Rover follows in the exalted paw prints of Rin Tin Tin and Lassie.

We did the same thing with my childhood dog when we poured concrete to anchor the washline posts in our backyard. When I was a teen, our dog passed on and I thought his memory would endure forever with that pawprint. Before I knew it, my folks were gone, the house changed hands, the washline posts came down. Time is a harsh mistress.

cat paw prints were found in ancient roman? tiles. Some things never change. a word of caution , there is a chemical reaction that makes the cement set and it can burn tender skin
