“Alaska is mostly mild and warm in August with average high temperatures from 60°F (15°C) to 67°F (20°C) in the most-visited areas.” If there are any weather-related extremes, I hope they work in Ralph’s favor!
If you’re boarding a cruise to Alaska from Vancouver or one of the other southern locations, you would NOT be dressed warmly! We have a heat wave in British Columbia right now that has broken many heat records, some going back over a century. Plus, this time of year in Alaska it is warm, not cold. Ralph is the ONLY one dressed appropriately in that line up.
Ralph is more appropriately dressed for summer coastal weather in Alaska than anyone else in line. Sure, mid-60s F is a bit cool, but surely not so cold as to need mittens, earmuffs, scarves, and heavy winter coats unless you live in a tropical climate.

Zero comments; how appropriate.

He should’ve figured something was off by how the rest of family was dresssed.

Honeybunch didn’t notice how Ralph was dressed before they got to the airport? Not very observant, is she?

The sunscreen on Ralph’s nose is a nice touch.

Why would they have the smaller kids in the back, as opposed to the front where they can keep an eye on them?

Going to Alaska sounds fine to me right now, living through a very hot and drought heavy summer in my part of the country.

Actually, they aren’t in Alaska yet. He may be the only one appropriately dressed.

There was a time when they would not allow you on the plane dressed that way.

Ralph, you’ll love Alaska this time of year. Been up there twice, this time of year, and both times, it was great with beautiful, warm weather.

The coldest winter I ever experienced was a two day rainstorm during a June Alaska cruise. (I’m a southern California native, so yes it is a low bar)

If you’re dressed this warmly while you’re still at the terminal, what’re you gonna wear in Alaska?
