let’s even see Hobbes do that with a real Olympic-sized pool

It is according to the Worlds Records for Long Tall Striped Cats.

Careful, Calvin… Hobbes could lap you up in zero seconds and then drink half the pool to get the snarky taste out of his mouth.

Would think stronger legs are more important than height in real races. At least that is what jockeys have told me.

It is a record 100 meter cat-paddle, which is not the same as doggy-paddle

it’s not a lap- it’s a length. he’d have to turn for a lap

So that’s why swimmers have been getting taller. :)

Hobbes gets the gold trophy and Calvin gets a participation trophy.

LOL…. Hobbes is a trip (in Calvin’s mind).

This was me and my sister trying to swim in a paddling pool too small to swim in.

Michael Phelps called. He’s taking Calvin’s side on this one.

Now Hobbes has some fur in the swimming pool!
