Hard to believe, at one time, you couldn’t search the inventory of a dealer and find the car you were looking for at a dealer clear across the state or country. “Internet pricing” and the ability to compare and receive multiple offers paved the way for no haggle fixed prices today.
I still recall the wonderful feeling of sauntering past the line of obnoxious salesmen in 2002 to sign the paperwork with the Fleet Manager (who had internet duties in the early days).
