I still have a battered re-glued table that I bought at the lowest ebb of my finances. It’s large with drop-down leaves and drop-in leaves, as well, with plenty of space of dining or art projects. The only criterion at the time was that I could pick it up by myself and rope it to the roof of my car. I’d replace it, if I could find one like it.

I have the money to buy new, but it’s fun to buy second hand and fix it up. Plus it’s good for the planet.
