I never would have expected a good joke from Bucky, unless by accident.
Stealing from Pastis, again?
This is the second strip about cats and nude beaches I’ve seen this Sunday:
https://www.gocomics.com/heathcliff/2022/08/14
“Oh, that Henny Youngman!”
That’s funny!
First reaction, “I never knew so many people had a birthday today”.
Ba-dum-bump !
It’s not often that I regret reading a comic strip all the way to the end
prudent
I remember that one. The punchline was “ Mamie Eisenhower”.
:-D hahaha.
But of course. Brilliant!
I like it!
I’m told that some stories have a moral.
I remember this arc…there are more coming, if I recall correctly…of course, with repeats, who can be sure?
I was sure this was going to be a story about a bad sunburn, but it took a Bucky turn.
Groan.
Hey, at least it wasn’t a pun!
“Literary interference in a sexual manner” – 30 days (Cannes 1953) :)
Calvin has NOTHING on Rob when it comes to having an overactive imagination!
quite an oldie
Oof! That gag was STEPHEN PASTIS bad/amazing! Bravo, Darby Conley.
The judge threw the book at him!
One more for the "Shaggy Dog Story the ends in an awkward pun file…
Sailing dangerously close to Pastis territory…
Almost Pastis-worthy
Is it OK to plagiarize a plagiarist who plagiarized…?Heard this one many times before.
All these comments and I still didn’t get what it had to do with the video game for Joe’s nephew. ???
Was expecting something more sunburn related …
Like: What do you call a sunburned psychoanalyst?
Pink Freud …!
“Never cover a judge by his book” … classic “Fuzzy”.
It is in the realm of Pastis, too.
Fun one.
Good pun.
He and Pastis were good friends back when Conley was still writing fresh comics; don’t know what their status is now that ‘Fuzzy’ has been out of circulation for so long.
If I wanted this kind of thing I’d still be reading “Pearls Before Swine.”
(forehead slap)
Wow! I hadn’t ever seen this one before. It was well worth the wait, though – way to go, Darby!!! ❤️
