I just read an article where a mining company in PA mined under a river. They didn’t burrow far enough down and the river collapsed the tunnel and flooded all the mines. No more mining could be done. They dammed the hole to stop the flooding but the mines were full anyway.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that has mistakenly done that.
