OK, Horace, I think I get this one (opera buffa is a woman who sings comic opera roles, Cosi Fan Tutte is an opera, and Tutti Fruitti is a kinda comic song), but it ain’t funny, unless I’m missing something else.

Could Horace possibly get hit by a bus? Or maybe just committed.

OK, here is the result of my autopsy on the corpse of this comic:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote a comic opera (opera buffa) called “Cosi fan Tutte” (meaning “so do they all”, referring to women, or more often translated as “women are like that”). It was once considered risque, but nowadays, not so much, though Horace finds it “suggestive”.

Horace tacks on “Frutti” in a reference to “tutti-frutti” ice cream. But this also refers to the 1955 Little Richard hit “Tutti Frutti” with its refrain “A-wop-bop-a-loo-mop-a-lop-bam-boom!” (as given by Wiki but differently by Clyde). And that’s all there is.

Hilarity neither ensues nor reigns, but that is the meta-joke of the Horace character: jokes about unfunny jokes requiring knowledge not usually found among the commoners.
