Thank goodness it’s a dry heat.

She was out chasing heatwaves in TX.

One of the very nice things of living at 8,500’ is that, with the thin air and low humidity, it can be 90 degrees, but it’s comfy in the shade, and a slight (or stronger!) breeze to help. I love sitting on my porch, smiling and nodding at everyone that goes by…

I’m amazed that some people don’t burst into flames.

Not really…..

I love the heat and never, ever complain about it. But the cold, I hate it. Since I walk outside ever morning all year around for several miles, I get to complain about the cold and ice a lot where I live. I don’t even mind rain on our walks. I just don’t like to be cold, or to slide on ice. Snow can be almost tolerable, if it’s not icy underneath.

22 days over 100 here in South Texas

That’s my wife and I. She likes the cold and I like the heat.

And that, dear children, is why you do not look inside the Ark of the Covenant.

Can’t stand the heat. Thankfully in New England it’s not too bad for too long.
