@ Ling Today’s strip IS funny ,our HERO Mr Andrew Capp being chucked out politely is priceless :o) my avatar is a picture of a Jellyfish not not having a single brain cell is good news for s ome people I know having a single brain cell . come passerai il vostro Sabato mio meno Vecchio amicho? our Saturday should be a little busy , we both are in a good mood but we are staying inside the house and keep hydrated keep safe and a bientot pal
Sorry for not commenting yesterday. Today has been a busy one for me. I went to another town (I travelled there by ferry) to the place where I’m hoping to volunteer soon. I love the office and can’t wait to start but I don’t have a confirmed start date yet. I am NOT leaving my current one where I go to on Wednesdays. It cost £3.40 for a Day Ticket and I was able to use my ticket on the bus as well because it’s a shuttle. So no additional bus fares.
I arrived early so went to a cafe and got a bacon sandwich. It was a fairly big one and was £2.20. I don’t know if that’s pricey or not. Anyway, it was worth it.
However I did get a bit lost when it came to getting the bus back to the Ferry Terminal because there are some building works going on and the buses were not stopping at where I usually go. So I had to walk around all hot and bothered to find a bus stop for my bus. I finally found it. Whoo hoo!
I’m going to the supermarket after the library shuts to get my Chocolate Weetabix Breakfast drink for tomorrow.
Stay safe, stay well, stay cool and stay happy, pal.
Reminds me of a classic Andy Capp comic where Andy is in a pub sitting on a bench slowly moving toward the door. in the last panel, Andy says something like “This is a friendly sort of pub. They don’t chuck you out, they just gradually ease you out.”
If your lot in life is serving alcohol to a bunch of drunken bums and eventually having to kick them to the curb, you might as well do it with a smile and a kind word.

You’re just in time, Alan.
Now you can haul his worthless @$$ to jail (“gaol” in the UK)!!
BTW, IMO, every publican who kicks Capp out of his establishment should receive a special citation from Her Majesty, the Queen.

Is the word ’guv’nor’ even used any longer to address one’s ‘betters’?

Our state governor, too. He outs a smiley face sticker on the prisoner’s shirt and says “Have A Nice Day” before they flip the switch.
