I have a collection of jokes from Readers Digest published in 1958. In the sections of workplace humor, a lot of the jokes are about lazy coworkers. You’re kidding yourself if you think you think you used to live in a golden era and now everyone is a slacker.
Especially as worker productivity increased by 299% from 1950 to 2018:

Perhaps it is my jaundiced view of things today, but it seems there are a lot of folks who don’t care at all about doing their jobs.
