They require proof of vaccinations and masks. A bunch of comics nerds will wear masks, they will be creative with it, though

One of the republican candidates for governor (here in Michigan) says the pandemic is over and when he’s elected all of the restrictions are being canceled.

You don’t need COVID for a Con Flu to spread around. As they always do.

Nobody has died of monkeypox in the U.S. but it’s “all the rage” in the news. Over 300 people PER DAY are dying of COVID. The news reporters may be tired of it, the legislators may be tired of it and the general public may be tired of it – it doesn’t matter; COVID does not get tired. As long as the pandemic persists, it will mutate and come back – again and again. We have learned far more about the intransigence and willful ignorance of people than we have about COVID in these last couple of years. It is a lesson that has already cost 1,000,000 U.S. lives. That’s TWICE as many as World War II – ten times as many as Viet Nam.

Local paper bragging about how we “beat” covid and how everyone’s maskless and restaurants are all opened back up. Boy howdy are they in for a shock if they seriously think this thing’s done with us.

I was at a nerd con this weekend. Proof of vax was required, but masks were not. So far no symptoms or positive tests for me (knock on wood). Bizarre thing is I usually come down with two or three colds a year, but I’ve come down with zero respiratory ailments since October 2019.
