Forget the calamine lotion. Go right for the Tecnu – the geocacher’s friend. That stuff really works if you get it on fast enough. It’s too late if the blisters have erupted.
Once on a field exercise I visited my next higher headquarters and found them set up in a beautiful part of the forest with a large clear area with plenty of overhead tree cover. The only problem was that the ground was covered in poison ivy. I was amazed that no one recognized it. Many of those soldiers were covered in the rash the next week.
Everything comes at a price, Itchy-Boy. I doubt all the calamine lotion in Nuttingham Manse will suffice to put an end to your scratchy days. Hope the flag was worth it….

Sometimes I am glad the worst of that kind we have here is nettle. Until you start eating stuff, then all bets are off.

A dishrag and liquid soap, get the oil off quickly before it irritates and you’ll be fine.

She comes on like a rose but everybody knows She’ll get you in Dutch. You can look but you better not touch.
Poison ivy, poison ivy. Late at night while you’re sleepin’ Poison ivy comes a-creepin’ around. She’s pretty as a daisy but look out man she’s crazy.
Sung by the Coasters, et al.

Zanfel lotion and lotsa B vitamins (Super B complex at least twice per day) worked for me and mine, after the rash appeared.

Is that really the camp flag, or did the pennant from the Titanic wash up at his camp?
