The best sermons I ever heard were by a Pastor who loved Peanuts.
He would describe a Peanuts comic, then build a sermon around it.
Probably one of the many factors that lead to my love of comics.
Someone wrote a book called “The Gospel According to Peanuts” I’ve been meaning to try to find a copy for years but never got around to it….(shame on me!) I wonder if the Pastor you knew could have written it?

Oh, there’s someone who’s touched here, all right. And that’s his name scrawled out on the side of the middle panel.

I wish Slim wasn’t always portrayed as a simple buffoon. The character clearly has potential and deserves a storyline demonstrating that potential.

A new character for Gasoline Alley? Some are left on doorsteps, some are born in taxis, some are towed into town…

Slim is right. The best sermons are the ones you see, not the ones you hear.

Upton will make a terrific preacher once he gets out of jail.

I’m getting teary-eyed now. I’ve learned so much from Upton that I’m thinking of changing my sinful ways.

Me, I’m going to stop poisoning small rodents in my spare time!
I’m still going to torture fish, though. They get what they deserve.
