Birds of a feather

I gave up on the food channel years ago. I was a regular watcher when it was about cooks cooking but since it went over to contest after contest after contest. bleah. if you can find it, read anthoney bourdaine’s essay on the early days of the food network and what it was like. it is both humorous and disgusting.

Of course the doctor doesn’t follow his own advice. I remember when I was a kid, old Doc Greenwood would give exams with a cigarette in his mouth…

according to my son (who has cable) there’s hardly anything on ESPN worth watching any longer

I remember watching “Man Vs. Food”. They would serve up the largest portions of food in their restaurants and the host would eat it. It has been said that we Americans are too fat. Then they show a program like that!!!
