Winter in the southern hemisphere does last about 5 days longer than winter in the northern hemisphere.

And, as a penguin, you’re worried because why?

“Why do fish live in saltwater?” Because pepper makes them sneeze!

“Why are giraffes’ necks so long?” Because they have really smelly feet!

“What do you call a dancing cow?” A milkshake!

“Who can jump higher than a skyscraper?” Anyone! Skyscrapers can’t jump.

“What did the big flower say to the little flower?” Hey, bud!

Tomorrow we will move up to 1st grade jokes.

A couple of centuries from now anyone who comes across this comic in an archive will say:

“It’s unlikely any human in the future will ever again experience “winter” conditions like those depicted in the ‘toon. And penguins will remain extinct forever, sad to say.”

A basic joke, but we’ll accept it because it’s delivered by cute pengies.

Love it! Thanks for the laugh. Great addition to any day. I must say what I have wondered is why spring and autumn seem to be “seasons of transition” and summer and winter seem to be “destination” seasons. Autumn is there to bring winter in, and spring is there to bring summer in. One never says summer is there to usher in autumn, for example.

I want summer to be over with as quickly as possible. I want winter to be long—November through April would be ideal. Northern Vermont used to be like that over 35 years ago…
