My brother is pushing 70 and some of his best friends are those he went to High School with. My boss hangs with a guy he went to kindergarten with. I have never been to a reunion nor know what any of those folks from my past are up to. I was there, I had a good time but not interested in talking about it now with the others who were there. Different folks, different strokes.

My childhood wasn’t so great. Wouldn’t be a kid again for anything.

Unfortunately time and technology changes things in life. In the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and even 60’s the simple child pleasures were outdoor activities. Not any more!

We rode bikes a lot, swam a lot (we had a great public pool), played tennis a lot and spent the rest of the time saying “I dunno, what do you wanna do?” [when the other guys were playing baseball, I was in the Library]

“Why can’t they be like we were? Perfect in every way. Oh, what’s the matter with kids today?”
