Oh Poncho you “filter-free gem”! you tell ’em!

Just think, grass instead of asphalt, trees instead of buildings, and don’t forget about all the thousands of friends you’ll make (fleas and ticks).

Sometimes you should escape from all the stuff which often keeps you (or distracts you) from seeing and enjoying all the other stuff. It can be hard to do that at home.

Poncho you go with Chazz or go to the Kennel where you will stay in a very small crate …

I can’t wait – I predict there will be at least two strips with Chazz trying to get Poncho’s carsick pill down him. Those are always funny.

Would those modern comforts include a can opener? For dog food?

this is a weird storyline to follow after poncho was just in woods with witch.he has to go back to more nature ?

Doggy daycare for Poncho, and then it’s a real vacation for the people – and the neighborhood. Where are the cats?

I’ve never come across “cottage” in this sense before; is it a regionalism? Cottages, to my mind, are small and homey, maybe with nature close at hand, but not “back to nature” or “deprive[d] of modern comforts.” I would expect them to have electricity and running water. What Chazz is talking about would be called a cabin in my area, and even some cabins have electricity and running water.

Except when you lose your collar.

Could be worse, he could be along on one of Calvin’s father’s camping trips.

Actually, if you have electricity and running (or even clean) water, you are luckier than a whole lot of the people in this world.
