“As a citizen”? I once knew a guy who was an Icelandic citizen but lived in Oklahoma, and he got called for jury duty. It seems it was his duty as a legal resident.

I ALWAYS use to get off of jury duty. When they ask me the questions and it doesn’t matter what the issue is, I say I believe in the death penalty on who ever will be convicted as being in the wrong and that person should be put to death, and as a Funeral Director I would like to state here that I would like to be the Director to CLAIM the body for the family once the injection has done its job. It has been years since I have been called back…

I thought she was over 70 and exempt. But, some old people like it.

If there’s one thing she’s good at, it’s judging people!

Get an engineering degree. Lawyers do not want engineers on juries: they are too analytical. That’s how I always got off. The lawyers would see “BS in engineering, MS in computer science, licensed PE” and immediately dismiss me.

I was once summonsed for jury duty for 2 different courts-federal and county-for the same day! What are the odds?
