Then there was the tim7e6,8 (cat walked across the computer keyboard)Then there was the time, the cat was in the bedroom closet for many hours. She finally decided enough was enough and started meowing in the middle of the night – only because she was hungry.

I had one cat that got trapped between the front door and the screen door overnight. Started searching the house the next morning, then heard a faint meow. Opened the door and almost got my feet shredded as he rocketed to the litter box! Longest wiz I’ve ever seen a cat take.

I had a cat that was accidentally trapped in the closet with the water heater. She didn’t meow or anything. We looked everywhere for her for hours! Finally heard a faint rustling when I got up to pee about 4 a.m., opened the door and she just looked at me and headed straight to the food dish.

And yes, we apologized to her many times!

I accidentally lost one under my house when I was having AC and central heating installed. The three cats and I had followed the HVAC guy around the house as he cut holes in the floor for the vents. After about 3, I lost interest and headed off. When he was finished, I did a nose count and realized I was a cat short. After tearing through the house, it dawned on me what had happened. With increasing horror, I sped from vent to vent calling her name. Finally I heard a faint meow.

I slide in the barrier plate for the cat flap before I round up my cats for their monthly flea treatment. After their treatment I open a regular door to let them flee the unpleasant experience. Yesterday it was hours of “too quiet” before I realize the cat flap was still barred. My cats had been stuck outside and were wondering what was up.

Sometimes Raz gets stuck in the office room behind the closed door. She either “answers up” when I call or eventually starts meowing on her own to get released.

After being stuck in the garage with the laundry equipment overnight a couple of times, Colette is only too happy to shoot out the door when I tell her I am closing up. She will “answer up” if I call but won’t meow to get out. Cats!

Having owned one largely-black tuxie and the current house panther, we’ve learned to look carefully into the closets before closing the door.

Vlad, when he was still with me, got locked out of the apartment because I didn’t see him sneak out. I did hear him cry and finally figured out what happened. And opened the door. The other time he slipped into the closet where I stored his food. He eventually let me know that he was stuck.

Honor tries to get in our closet because we keep it closed. Cats resent closed doors.

She gave me a royal greeting when I came home from the hospital earlier this month, She stood on the counter by the back door and mewed at me and sniffed and rubbed my fingers. It was quite the greeting!
