I miss my typewriter! Amazon sells keyboards to resemble a typewriter! I’m so tempted….love the clickity clack ….

I wrote my first (and probably last) novella on a typewriter. You would never dream of using it in a public place. The whole point of the writing experience (in those days) was to be alone with your thoughts and the simple, bucolic, machine-gun sounds of the typewriter. :)

Tending to be a bit of an antiquarian myself, I’ve often thought about getting a typewriter to use for myself, but the thing that keeps stopping me is the simple logistics of it—because typewriters are no longer a thing, it’s a pain in the neck to find the necessary parts to maintain one, and, of course, a lot more costly than it was. Sticking with the computer really was, admittedly, the more practical option in the end, sadly.

Scritch, scritch, scratch, scritch, rub, rub, scritch…. EVERYBODY STOP WRITING!
