Oh boy, now Nate wishes he would hide under a table, specifically one of those big draped ones in the kitchen.

Oh dear. Mrs. Godzilla will not be pleased!

The next few days will be nate stressing about the vase.

Well, he has to pay her for the broken vase.But she has to pay him for the job of caring for Sherman.

It took a week, but finally there’s some action.

Nate: OH NO!

Nate hears knocking on the door.

Mrs. Godfrey: Nate, I’m back! My trip was cancelled! Open the door right now!

Nate (thinking): No… WHAT HAVE I DONE?!

Mrs. Godfrey: Oh well, I’ll just use my spare key.

Mrs. Godfrey opens the door to the house and finds Nate, kneeling next to the shattered vase by Sherman. Her face turns red. Steam comes out of her ears.

Nate: Uh… the hamster did it!

Mrs. Godfrey runs toward Nate like a charged bull, arms reached out for him. Nate dodges in the nick of time, but Mrs. Godfrey proceeds to charge up and runs toward him again.

Nate: OH NO!

Mrs. Godfrey swiftly grabs Nate by his collar. She looks dead at him in the eyes. Dee Dee looks from afar, hiding behind a wall.

Mrs. Godfrey: You’re going to be dead meat from now on…

Mrs. Godfrey kicks Nate to the sun. Dee Dee and Sherman watch hopelessly from below.

I thought that I could make my own review of the big Nate cartoon. As a huge fan of the big Nate strip and the books I can safely say that I was disappointed in this cartoon. The humor was awfully adapted the characters were all trash drawn and the animation well nice on its own really feels a little bit of a downgrade from the original art. Which is a shock because I actually figured out that Lincoln Peirce wrote some of the Scripts. My favorite episode would be bells are ringing. And my least favorites would have to be Valentine’s Day of horror and add the awful short that you all know. The Big Nate show is awfully adapting the original source and needs some improvement. Thankfully they are making new episodes.

This strip makes me remember that good bit of originality that Purse always has. I hope we keep on getting good arcs now
