This reminds me of an incident that happened to me once, when I was in the Hospital. I woke up in the middle of the night, having to go to the bathroom, bad. I knew I could call and get help, but I knew from experience that they didn’t answer right away sometimes, and even if they did, I still might not be able to hold it until they got there. I was hooked up to stuff on both sides of the bed, but luckily, I could easily disconnect myself from the stuff on the far side, away from the bathroom, and could then just wheel the structure I was connected to on the other side over to the bathroom door. As I was “relieving” myself, someone came in because their monitors for the far side connections had “gone out”. I told them what had happened, and, because I got there myself, there were no “accidents”.

Lila, dumber than an empty shoe box. Something she can relate to.
