As a human kitten long ago, I loved to play in large boxes, too. Empty kitchen-stove cardboard boxes were fine, but refrigerator boxes were GREAT! There was a kitchen appliance store down our street, and when the floor models arrived, the empty boxes were put outside, I assume for us kids to take.

My cats like to stuff themselves into small boxes.

“Or tape. Tape in a square on the floor is good too. Or someone’s credit card.”

My cat never plays in boxes….but he does like to chase the end of the charging wire, chews live plants, and dried ones….his fav is chasing a mouse on a long stick, though. ☺️☺️☺️

Given the wrapped boxes under the tree, our clowder is already excited at the prospect

Has the attraction of cats to boxes ever been scientifically studied?

Instead of an Xbox, he wants an XXLbox

Funny, cats like to ‘play box’ with hanging items and hanging out in a box.

And has a series of smaller boxes in it!
