Jimmy Haslam said good quarterbacks get a second chance. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/08/18/haslam-did-we-give-deshaun-watson-a-second-chance-because-hes-a-star-qb-well-of-course/
I’m going to go THERE and say that the NFL continues to spit in the face of women. Ray Rice. Greg Hardy. The list goes on and on. Nothing will ever change until the media starts hammering the league. They won’t. It’s always handwringing for about a week, then complete and utter silence. When Watson does come back, the media should ask him questions about his behavior. If he exits, then fine. The team PR person will probably cut off any questions and seek to revoke the reporters team credentials. Fans need to step up and stop treating these individuals as heroes. What would their reaction be if it happened to one of their daughters? Would they be so forgiving? Think about that.
Therapy for the foreseeable future. This buffoon does not understand the concept of forgiveness. Over 30 women! So sad. One year suspension would have been best…. Sunday community service at women’s shelters for 17 weeks….and therapy until he “understands”. And the fine? His pay for those 17 games.
Browns will be Browns, and GODell rolls on unscathed, fining players for have shirttails out, and criticizing referees. Yet the public continues to support this fraud. PT Barnum continues to be right.

He accepted suspension, fine, be evaluated by behavioral experts, and must follow their suggested treatment. Yet he maintains he did nothing wrong.

For all the talk of Watson & Browns, how is JJ getting a pass? Actions, see Clippers; words, see former Panthers owner.
