From the looks of what’s coming out of the oven those cookies might be VERY well done.

Reasons why I love my wife

1: She couldn’t cook to save her life

2: She drives like a dodgem car at the fair

3: She loves our dog with a complete commitment and dedication (and sometimes me)

What more could a man want?

I wonder if she bakes oatmeal cookies on the days he doesn’t love her so much? That would do it for me!

Peanut butter cookies would work for me.

A rare moment in that household.

Now I want some chocolate chip cookies and a cup of coffee.

1st wife made the best chocolate chip cookies, 2nd wife made the best Lasagna, 3rd wife made the best reservations. Present wife she made herself my business partner…. God, I miss those cookies!!!

In the last panel her smile gets wider………..that’s what love is all about!

Ah the road to Brutus’s heart is through his stomach. That’s because the bridge is out on the road to his brain.

Wives know what pleases their husbands but the opposite should also be true and should also be applied.Makes for at least a good, if not a happy marriage….

Granted, this is a comic, but I was struck by the fact Brutus tells Gladys that he loves her. I know of married couples who never hear “I love you” from their spouse and I find it sad. Is the spouse’s love taken for granted? Are they no longer “in love” with each other? Who knows?

As for me, I tell my wife daily that I love her and follow those words up with actions to demonstrate my words are not empty. She reciprocates in kind.

Brutus is looking a little gooey – in love – with the almost-done cookies!

It’s said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and that certainly seems to to be the case with Brutus.

The one thing she doesn’t make a burnt offering.

Gladys’ expression in the third is priceless. She knows her man!

“Nothing says loving like something from the oven and Pillsbury says it best.” I’m showing my age by admitting I remember that jingle.
