How do dogs approve a car and why should that make me want to buy one?

Ad agency just needs to show it was seen and remembered.

On more than one occasion I’ve contacted them and let them know what was wrong with the commercial. You may not believe it, but in a few instances the commercial quit showing. Coincidence or power of persuasion?

I wanna know what ad agency came up with “Love. It’s what makes Subaru Subaru.” Oh, hogwash. It does not.

I just look at my husband and say, “Clearly we are not the target audience.”

When I was an undergrad I worked at the university radio station. People really got on our case to airing a commercial for Baby Deer wine. I’m guessing a few actually called the winery, because the wine was pulled and renamed.

I am rarely influenced by a commercial and watch most shows recorded so I can fast forward.

Some big honcho hired a consultant for a ton of money and went with what the consultant said, rather than admit the hiring was a mistake.

The most stupid commercial these days, imo, is NJM’s “mascots are silly”. They might have gotten me to remember NJM is an insurance company, but they certainly have turned me off to their tactics—using a mascot to say they don’t use mascots. :-/

Apparently, it’s easy to get a commercial idea approved by the sponsor. Just represent the client’s customers as complete idiots and include a largely useless doofus male and a woman who has to explain the simplest tasks to him.

Made you think though didn’t it. Not so much about the product, but why they made the commercial.

No one said important people are smart, they are just important in their own circle. Many Politicians are excellent examples of that…..

Commercials are the reason for the mute button.
