At first this seems a little mocking and/or like a sacrilegious take-off (and that may be part of the intent) of “I have accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior”, but this actually does have a good and true message. If you believe in Jesus, if you believe He is God, and that Jesus is the (your) Savior, then He is an example and guide for you to follow and He does watch over you (and me) – like a Trainer. And He is the Trainer/Savior for each one of us personally.
