I see Dawn is still going with the miniskirts suggested by Candace last year and has not returned to her old “page boy” haircut from two years ago. Elizabeth, on the other hand, is showing the effects of saying “I dunno” when Elly took her clothes shopping. Elly is not going to buy her clothes that are even the slightest bit revealing, or that show any hint that Elizabeth has clothes that do not look like hand-me-downs from Mike.
A friend who used a wheelchair surprised me when she told me all of the things she had accomplished that summer; I hadn’t done half of the things she had done! She told me that one of her favourite songs was: "Anything you can do, I can do better."
Wheelchairs aren’t always confining, they can free you as well. I’m able to go places with hubby pushing me that I couldn’t get to with no wheelchair. Mine makes up for my lack of endurance, my constant pain, my weakness, and prevents me from falling (and breaking another bone).
Everyone should spend a day in a wheelchair, walking with a white cane, wearing noise-cancelling ear phones – experiencing the things those with a disability experience every day. That might change some people’s perspective.
This is only loosely related, but this made me think of the old animated Return of the King movie, in which marching orcs sing “Where there’s a whip, there’s a way.” Lol.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, I like that teacher, I wish all teachers were like her!

It take time for young people to learn that challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.

My wheelchair friend claims he has an advantage in dangerous neighborhoods, as there’d be no street cred in mugging him.

Sounds like she almost ran her wheels off…

In panel three, why does Miss Edwards have her shirt tucked in the back under the seat cushion of her wheelchair?

Always wondered why Michael and Miss Edwards look some much alike…

There was a cartoon where a black man kicked Miss Edwards off her wheelchair. The caption read “Obama cuts disability tax”.
