    When we had chores like that, I tried to do them with my kids (though sometimes just assigned the work when necessary). Always felt like it was a bonding time.

    Our family never rakes leaves. We let Mother Nature do all the work; 30 mph winds blowing continuously for days, send all the leaves into the next county.
