I always knew it was spring when I heard Vin Scully’s voice. Grew up in LA and his voice was a family backdrop.
he was also an NFL broadcaster. he was teamed with George Allen in 1979.
The Dodgers’ equivalent to the Mariners’ Dave Niehaus (1935-2010) I presume.
The voice of baseball.
“Deuces wild…”
I grew up with Phil Rizzuto as the voice of baseball.
Vin was an icon. Surely to be missed on the west coast.Thankfully I have had the opportunity to listen to the best booth in sports the last 17 years…Gary, Keith, and Ron.
Guess I’m too old, but Dodgers equals Brooklyn
He was one of the best….
