Why not just play it at another venue while they’re fixing up the ballpark at Dyersville? Like Doubleday Field in Cooperstown? Rickwood Field in Birmingham would be a great fit. Or League Stadium in Huntingburg, Indiana, where both “A League of Their Own” and “Soul of the Game” were filmed?

Interesting idea…. both Shoeless Joe & Pete Rose are banned. Have a hollow gram of them playing catch! MLB won’t do it.

I sure hope baseball comes back soon. Those athletes need to get out there.

Wherever you hold the game, don’t tarnish it with Rose.

Well since Field Of Dreams was about family, forgivness and redemption, it may be a better message than Frank Thomas building a casino around the site.

A former co-worker observed that if you couldn’t bet on horse races, even the owners wouldn’t watch them.

Turns out it has a much wider application.

The owners who love horses would watch. The corporate owners — meh.

Pete Rose didn’t run the Mafia. Pete Rose didn’t sell guns to the Bloods and the Crips. Pete Rose didn’t slap Chris Rock. Give the guy a break! He just gambled.
