Spot on. All three of my cats do that.

It’s said cats can see things humans cannot. Is it possible that they sometimes move, not by instinct, but by something like dance step footprints, in three dimensions, on your floor and tables? Believe it — or don’t!

This strip shows how normal cats turn, which is mysterious to humans, but I have a Ragdoll cat, and this breed can turn in ways that bend time and space … okay, not like a Doctor Who-level timey-wimey method, but in a more localised, furry and floppy style!

Except if they are high on catnip. Then the turn is much more mysterious.

Another mysterious phenomenon in the world of Kats and Kittens. Do not try this at home…it’s not for the human species….patents pending…

The ‘Why’ they do it is really the cool part.

That strip is an optical illusion. On first glance it would seem to indicate a side roll. But look more closely and it suggests a somersault.

The flop is an artform my sister’s cat has perfected. When she wants something it’s a little murp and down she goes too adorable to resist

Of course, the tail has to whip around in the opposite direction for balance.

Hmm… Reminds me of the right hand rule, or is it the left hand rule.
