Andy does have a point. All of these DYI reality shows – and I admit, I’m addicted to some of them – are staged. The talent does their little scene for the cameras and then all the unseen and unheralded production crew take over and do the real work!
These experts make doing the projects look so easy when you know that they’re really not. Still, like some people with wrestling shows, you know it’s fixed and fake, but you can’t help watching.
Andy has a point, ever see that many people working on a jobsite at once? No way, each subcontractor only works when the others aren’t there, unless you pay very well. Otherwise, they would all be in each other’s way.
Another about all these home reno shows – every time they do a house with roof damage, they seem to wait until last to do the roof over? WTF? Shouldn’t that be #1 on the list???
Roof first, foundation second, outside walls and windows third – then when the house is sealed up, do the inside.
Nor do contractors here ever leave windows or doors missing while they are not on site – anything they have installed inside most likely will be gone the next day, right down to having the copper wiring ripped out of the walls, copper plumbing as well.

20 of Andy is more than enough for a soccer team. Imagine a team of cloned Andys. On second thought, let’s not.

Bet Andy could still drink them all under the table.

20 Andy Capp types in one location is too mind boggling to even consider. Oh the humanity.

Flo would have to get a second job if there were 20 Andy’s to support.

When it comes to home building, that would be true, but homewrecking? Aha! Now that’s a different story!!
