G. K. Chesterton said to the effect that “forgetting our core ideas means the end of advanced civilization.” This may not herald it but I find the lack of knowledge of it to be troubling.
Though for Chesterton it was belief in the Catholic version of Jehovah. Not mine, it was the hard learned beginnings that are still relevant today and forever.
