As long as they don’t come off as bragging, I enjoy positive posts. I hate it a lot more when the same “friends” post complaints about how miserable they are and how badly the world is treating them. Unfairly, of course. That (looking for sympathy) gets old quickly.
I get a kick out of seeing what they will post and what they won’t!! They are very closed minded and won’t post anything that might offend others… in other words, anything they don’t want people to know about!
Husband is on FB to talk to friends from high school and people in the reenacting hobby (latter to discuss research people have done and upcoming and past events), as well as for our handcrafted business.
I have 3 or so FB accounts. No friends. Every few months I go and look what is going on to keep the accounts active. He asks me why I don’t go on to see what friends from high school, college, my embroidery group (which is part of a national group) and reenacting group. I pointed out to him that he is in touch with our college friends, families and reenacting friends – so why do I need to be. People I went to high school are not friends and never were other than a couple who were superficially friends by affinity (no similar interests – just more or less my age and lived on same street) and all liked to make fun of me – he insisted we go to my first (only?) high school reunion and there was no one even for us to sit with.
Why waste the time when I could be with friends on comic sites or working on something which needs to be done.
