I’m reminded of a Quincy, M.E. episode where a flood disturbed an old cemetery and there were bodies and caskets all over a nearby neighborhood. I think it was the only episode that ever bothered me for some reason.
The Mrs already has the Halloween specific decorations pulled out and ready to go up on the 11th right after we pull down the Thanksgiving stuff. And she still wants to do USAian Thanksgiving in November. One can really cultivate a love/hate for holidays when one decorates for them all and has several (USAian, Canadian, Scottish) calendars to follow. Speaking of Scottish things, Scotch eggs for afternoon tea today. And the first batch of Nanaimo bars!!!! (Triple Chocolate, of course)
The local coroner had to redo an autopsy and the casket got damaged. A neighbor who was a nutcase Halloween decorator and worked for the county was given the old casket. He was the only person I know decorating for Halloween with an actual murder victim’s used casket.

Many people here already have decorations up. My experience as a kid 1958/63 was the houses with elaborate decorations gave out the cheapest candy.
