    I’m not sure why I never noticed it before, but Sterling’s head shape is very similar to Dad’s. And his unibrow is an enhanced version of Dad’s bushy brows. This casts doubt on some of the origin stories that Dad has been telling about Sterling.

Occasionally reined in by Spud the superego: self-conscious, protective, filtering, overthought—cancels and revises plans. Sterling is, of course, all id: impulsive, primal, immediate—no plans, no net, lives in the now.
