It’s not common knowledge but before the time of Columbus’ voyages Portuguese fishermen were fishing off the Grand Banks. It was only a matter of time. Europe was going to find North America soon anyway.

More to the point, because retailers want your money.

I still don’t see how someone on a different continent can come here and “Claim” a land that was home to true “Americans” already, for a country just because it financed the trip, that the ruler of, gave large tracts of it to certain people… and considered the people already living here for eons to be the ones who should be killed or ruled by them!!!
