At the ‘WHOA MAN’ panel, Dill was shuffled off to another dimension where, for a half hour, he’ll be enjoying a bit fun and high jinks, after which he will return to tube sliding in time to greet Alice and her sandwich!
Looks like a repurposed “Cannonball” water slide from the defunct Action Park water park. My first time down the slide in the 80’s I had no idea that the short slide that went underground spit you out 2 stories above an ice cold, spring fed pond – as the light approached, I shut my eyes thinking to hit water not air – onlookers must have enjoyed my momentary realization that I was falling as my sudden changed reaction to panic not knowing what what happening.
Alas, poor Dill! He cannot rely on Alice. She is too concerned about Alice to care about Dill falling on his head. This does not bode well for their married life some twenty years down the road….
