I used to work with a guy that owned several old hearses. AAA kept cancelling his membership, because he was actually using their roadside services. So, he’d sign up under a different name and repeat the cycle.
I bought a car like that, once. It was a demo, so it was new and used, too. It was a Mercury Montego MX. It was great looking midsize car. But, after three months, it began just shutting off. It did this for six more months with multiple towing’s to the shop. It was the true lemon. But, I got it fixed. It had a shorted out contact in the induction coil. induction coils practically never go bad. But, this one did. Twice.
