It’s off limits since Biden completely blew the U.S. withdrawal. The Taliban has seized US weapons left in Afghanistan worth billions — possibly including 600,000 assault rifles, some 2,000 armored vehicles, and 40 aircraft, including Black Hawks, according to reports. The US gave the Afghan military an estimated $28 billion in weaponry between 2002 and 2017 — including seven brand new helicopters delivered to Kabul just before the exit. The war chest also included the supply of at least 600,000 infantry weapons — including M16 assault rifles — as well as 162,000 pieces of communication equipment and 16,000 night-vision goggles. In just two years from 2017 to 2019, the US gave 7,035 machine guns, 4,702 Humvees, 20,040 hand grenades, 2,520 bombs and 1,394 grenade launchers, The Hill noted, citing a report last year from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR).
Oh good Lord, the sheer quantity of gimmicks they’ve tried to keep the show “fresh” over the years would make your head spin. I wonder how Jason’s list compares to the real list.
The CBS station in my area back in the 1980’s was the top station in our market, back when they were also the network with many of the programs my family preferred. By the mid 1990’s, they ended up swapping affiliations with another station. It’s been up and down since then with them both. I have never watched ‘Survivor’ and never will. I prefer the band by that name who sang ‘Eye of the Tiger’.

Why Afghanistan, Jason? How about North Korea instead?

Afghanistan might work for an all-male survivor.

As of 2022, Survivor has had 42 seasons, with two more currently in progress. I don’t know what it’ll take to end that show.

I always wanted to see them to Survivor Antarctica, or Siberia, or someplace cold. Really test their survival skills.

I’m guessing Jason would be suggesting Ukraine in this day and age…

Starting with Survivor 4, most seasons have been on a tropical island which was what the African season lacked.
