What a coincidence. The Popocatépetl gave a huge ash eruption today. There’s an ash alert for all of Mexico City.

We seem to be giving it more and more reasons to vent more often and more violently.

Has the E.P.A. investigated this yet. It might violate the Clean-Air Act. You might have to levy a fine on Hephaestus and his forge.

There’s a lot of that going around these days.

Let’s hope that volcano is too far to effect Id.

I remember learning about volcanos in grade school and thinking how great it was that the Earth was finished with all that “forming”. Now here I am, living two hours away (by car) from the Yellowstone Supervolcano.

I took a vacation at a lodge(KMC) on the edge of Kilauea Volcano in the early 80’s. We walked in the old caldera and found out the smoke escaping out of small cracks was actually steam and smelled like rotten eggs. I think folks can still walk around there.

Quick, find some virgins to sacrifice.
