    There used to be an elm tree in my neighborhood that had ivy growing on it. In the Fall the elm leaves would turn yellow and the ivy vine would turn red.

    Truth be told. That is the color of the leaves all year long. Only in the Spring and Summer the leaves are full of chlorophyll which make all the leaves Green. Come Fall and the trees stop producing chlorophyll. And the green color disappears, thus showing the leaves true colors.

    I just spent a week in Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia. The colors were wonderful. We don’t get to see nature’s beauty in that manner in central Texas.

    I live in an area where fall is plentiful. The colors are gorgeous right now. (I used to live in New York where fall was more like “fell” and everything was gone in a week.)
