It wouldn’t make sense to spend time going to classes when another opportunity presents itself that shows promise of turning out to be a really good thing. That’s why those people made that choice. Those of us who are more ordinary have to keep going to classes to get the paper that we need to get us jobs that most high school grads could do.
Sometimes I think the benefits of a liberal arts college education come late in life, as by then one often yearns for a unified, well understood ‘big picture’ of the world.
