Yes, it got up to 80 horrible degrees here. Now they have to run it when it gets as high as 70 to justify the expense and I have to listen to it running.
I live in Los Angeles and in the last heat wave the power grid couldn’t keep up. I had a volt meter plugged into one of the sockets and I was watching the voltage drop down from 110 VAC, to 100 VAC, then down to 95 VAC. It was interesting to see which appliances worked at the lower voltages (fans, but they turn slower) , and which ones just pretended to work (AC units, which just turned into fans). Then it suddenly dropped to 33 VAC, and nothing worked! Good times….
