OK, today the hands are pincers again, with a thumb. The body looked very mechanical yesterday, today it has major pectorals.

OBVIOUSLY, there’s going to be an issue with Robo-Dick and the barcode scanner and Braces will have control over the robot. How Robo-Dick will understand Braces through clenched teeth is the next question.

Plus what happens if Robo-Dick gets a flat tire? Does Tracy call AAA?

That is one tiny head on a large robot body. I guess Locher DOES have a problem with perspective?

If Braces gets control of this robot to use with his barcode scanner, can we just put it to work at Wal*Mart or something? Wouldn’t that help out the US economy? Good job Dick Locher at drawing an economic stimulus package for us.

As I am reading this strip, I hear the TRANSFORMERS music playing and wonder why the robot suddenly has such a small head that actually looks like Locher copied it from an earlier drawing of Tracy taking a nap (or having a vivid conversation… its hard to tell with Dick Tracy).

Well, what do we think… will Jeff’s dream of a life size TRAZE-R poster pull out in the Sunday Trib come true tomorrow? Come on, Locher, give this guy something to hang on his wall and fawn at all next week. (Jeff your comments yesterday were classic, I appreciate your honest appreciation of the Tracy comic! I appreciate that it never ceases to suprise and amuse me with inconsistencies and ridiculous “new” inventions).

This story began with Smith reminding Tracy that his company was noted for miniaturization. Smith Industries is sort of going in the opposite direction now.

I love the suspension on that thing. Big huge body held up by a lttle tiny waist. It lloks like it would snap in half the first time it hit a bump or a strong wind blew.

Hey gang…. quick update… gotta conserve laptop battery…. 4.5 M people without power. City of Houston, no water. May take a month to get power. They have no way to count the dead in Galveston. Pray. See ya! Morrow

Hey Morrow, glad everyone is OK. We’ll keep you in our thoughts & prayers. Keep us posted. I’m sure this silly super-Dick story will still be going on and on and on long after thing get back to some sort of normalcy for you.
