1) I’m getting a feeling that this story has stretched out a bit too long. It looks as if it will run through to July 11, and that would complete 19 weeks, not Lochers longest story. Al Kinda and Von Klu Meister ran 21 weeks each. Then Figment Froid was 18, with all the others at 15 to 16 weeks. Angelorious (I suspect was “killed” at 11 weeks). At Jack’s death this story had completeded 13 weeks. Probably the best time to have ended it, except for Locher’s gunfight about to take place !.
2) Not that it matters a great deal but Monte’s Casino seems exceedinly small. Four men could easily surround it (see 6-16 and 6-19)
3) That middle picture of Big Ace yesterday reminds me so much of Moon Mullings without his Bowler hat ! DL must have been looking back at old strips and noted where artist Frank Willard once floored George Macmanus for allegedly using his “ideas” in “Bringing up Father”.
That sort of manly, rough and tumble action might have influrenced Locher in his design (?)
What happened to the rifle that was in the SWAT guy’s hand in the first panel? It disappeared in the second panel and all he did was finish his sentence.
The S.W.A.T. guys need to relax and come on in and take a break. Tracy’s about to deal a little “Texas Hold’Em”. Who knows………., they might win some of Big Arse’s money!
so who is pointing that stubby little finger over the bad guy’s shoulder.?….
kinda awkward and unnatural to twist your arm back in order to point your finger that way….
but that’s just me….
There is a “timing” problem to easily reference the Boards Archives.
Say I wanted to check a sequence (or story) in strips back in July 2004. The process would seem to be to slowly go back in time, confined to “month by month” movements, @ two clicks per month, using the Calander feature.
That would take some ONE HUNDRED and TWENTY (?) clicks of the cursor to get there. A tad discouraging and a bit of a hardship.
Alternatively, with ONE click, I could go back to the “begining” of the Archives working forward in similar labored fashion, month by month ! But in this “example” not much different
I can recall that some years back it wasn’t so, and wondered if there was an EASIER way to negotiate them ? One I was unaware off ?

Starting to look like the Ghost Rider. Tomorrow his head is on fire…
Meanwhile the SWAT guys break away from Dunkin Donuts to surround the casino in downtown Naperville.

They can’t hear Big Ace yelling? Guess his voice isn’t as big as the rest of him…

I’ll bet Big Ace could do a great rendition of “Swanee”

Bet you never saw a talking eyeball before…
But instead he points to his bowtie shaped mouth.

Coming soon to a panel near you….one in the head, one in the heart, and Big Ace gets it through the spade.

” I said KILL HIM ”
You can’t do that Big Ace ! If you kill Tray-C , that would be the end of this comic strip !
Well … OK … Come to think of it , it’s the best thing that could happen here .
Go ahead : KILL HIM !!!

Sydney, you can navigate to previous years by simply clicking the arrow next to the year in the calendar view. 5 clicks will bring you back to 2004.

Or you can type in the year/month/day in the URL and skip to that comic with zero clicks. ;)
